EVERYDAY MOMENTS WITH LOVE, DANICA.

Note: It's the second guest post in this new series of mine and I couldn't be more excited to have such a sweet and wise friend like Danica to take over my blog today. Get ready for a great post, friends!

i'm an early riser even on the weekends unfortunately and it's not uncommon to wake up to our dog, sadie, sleeping soundly next to my husband long after i have woken up. stephen likes to say "like father like daughter" because even i could be awake with a treat in my hand, this dog will not get up unless he does. such a daddy's girl. my heart skips a beat as i get ready for the day and peek over to both of them sleeping close together. sadie can somehow sense that it's the weekend because she knows when she can get away with bothering me while i'm trying to do my quiet time. our little fur-baby will belly crawl on top of my legs and just stare at me until i put away whatever i'm doing. it's pretty adorable but she can't get away with it as much as she can with my hubby, again...such a daddy's girl.

last weekend was such a blessing for us because it was chilly and rainy (our favorite). living in sunny California we don't get much rain so we were happy to pull out the hoods and beanies for the day. after a long week of work it's the little moments of waking up next to the man and dog you love. to know that "i don't have to work today! and i have time to make breakfast and go for a walk!" is the best moment for me. i'm so thankful that God uses those simply weekends in my life to refresh my soul and energize my body. moments like a rainy day and extra snuggles may be simple but they are definitely needed and most importantly, beautiful to me.
