RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.

currently.

...suffering from major (read: MAJOR) blogger's block. It's actually terrible. It may seem like I have posts posting on my normalish Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule, but I've honestly been relying on some scheduled posts as of late (secret spilled). I'm desperately looking forward to this long weekend so I can get caught up on a little writing. Finger's crossed!

...munching on Trader Joe's Coconut + Cranberry Granola. AKA the best stuff ever. And I know that granola isn't necessarily the healthiest stuff on the planet, but honestly, I don't really care right now. :)

...laughing at this girl's tweets. They're hand's down the best tweets ever. And yes, this is coming from the girl who didn't understand Twitter a year or so ago. #hooked

...excited for Turkey Day (aka Thanksgiving). There's something about having family together, catching up on each other's lives, and eating lots of good food that makes me happy. That, and who doesn't love stuffing (if you don't, please don't answer that question).

...thrilled to have a long weekend. A few days off from work is just what this girl needs.

...trying to get rid of my cold. Little kids are cute but it's no lie that they're germy. And yes, I am sick again and blogging about it.

...loving this girl's blog tag post. And now I'm pumped to share my own edition!

...realizing that singleness is not a disease. I think it's easy to fall into this mindset because people are constantly viewing it as such, but I've been learning that it's not and have been re-training my brain about this idea. Just because I'm single, it does not mean that I'm unwanted or unloved. It's actually quite the opposite with a Lord and Savior like Christ!

...shopping for my Christmas Exchange recipient! It's been fun and I'm finally narrowing things down on what I want/need to get.

...watching The Mindy Project. That show is actually hilarious. Or just really, really, really funny.

...eager to slip on this cozy sweater. Oh, the benefits of picking out one's own Christmas presents...

What are you up to currently? Traveling for Thanksgiving plans? Cleaning the house for guests? Or how about enjoying a day off from work?

    1. Stuffing is definitely the best!! :) And I'm with you on the snow part--we haven't had any yet but we've had crazy chilly weather these past few days. Hoping for snow, that's for sure!

I honestly so easily forget that there are bloggers out there who aren't in the US or aren't out celebrating fall because of where they life. But on the flip side, I'm a little jealous that you're out in Australia (right?). I've always wanted to go there! :)

  2. I love your lists! I'm currently talking myself down from panic attacks about flying tomorrow. I do.not.like.it. I do like the not having to drive 18 hours with a one and three year old though! Two hours of plane seems like a better option, until I remember I HATE IT! Ha! But I'm excited about spending some family time out on my uncles ranch in Texas!! Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. I'm kinda with you on the flying part! I've only flown a few times in my life (we do a lot of roadtrips in this family since we like to bring our separation-anxiety ridden pup with us on trips) and every time I do I get a serious case of the butterflies. Hoping and praying that you have a safe travels and a great time in Texas! Spending Thanksgiving with family on a ranch sounds good to me! :)

    1. Haha, I guess that is the truth! I always feel weird posting heart-to-heart posts a week or so later because they don't always accurately define my current state of being, but then again, reading them once they're published really deepens and strengthens my thoughts and my faith in Him. :)

And so glad I'm not the only on in this club! :)

  5. Actually your blog is interesting to us (who read it) because it's not always structured. It's honest. Thanks for your honesty - honestly. Have a blessed Thanksgiving above all.

    1. Aw, thanks Shelley! Honestly, that just might be one of the BEST blogging compliments I've ever received. I never want to come across as too structured or too scripted so I'm glad you enjoy honesty as much as this girl over here. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well, friend!!

    1. Happy Turkey Day to you, too! You don't even know how much I love that I've found another person who says that. :) And The Mindy Project is the best! It's kind of funny because when I first read your comment, I was wondering what the Monday Project was. But anyway, Mindy is hilarious and the perfect short TV show to get a good laugh.

    1. Yes, yes, and yes! Stuffing is definitely the best and so are scheduled posts. And The Mindy Project is a really funny show--but it does have some of the same sort of humor as The Office did and New Girl does--just to give you a head's up if you've never seen it before! :)

    2. Oh okay, I've seen the office before. I will have to check it out :)

  8. Oh gosh. I just did a post similar to this because I was feeling some writer's block as well!

Sooo glad you are liking The Mindy Project. It's hilarious, as is New Girl. Of course! :) Also, I'm soooo excited for Thanksgiving. BOTH of my jobs decided to have Thursday AND Friday off so I'm excited for an extra long weekend. I almost forgot what it felt like.

Oh yeah, kid sicknesses. I don't miss those. But, seriously. After all the things we catch from little kids, we should be immune to everything! ha!

    1. Yep, this is just further proof that we're pretty much twins. :)

And hooray for long weekends! I've got a long one, too (first holiday since I started back in September!) and it'll be so nice to have a long weekend. I, too, forgot what it's like!

And haha, if only! I think I seriously need to re-teach the washing hands lesson again because someone is always sick. Always. :)

  10. singleness is definitely not a disease, but sometimes it feels like it haha
and yay I can't want to read your post too!
ps. I wish I had drafts ready to go - some days i'm scratching my head thinking "I have no idea what to post about" and then I realized "maybe I should draft more" hahaha

    1. Haha, you nailed it. It's not a disease, but it definitely feels like it at times! :)

And I have a few drafts now (6, I think--and yes, that is a FEW in my book!), but I'm trying to push myself to blog in the now. And that's only because I rarely have enough time/energy to blog as frequently as I once did. I honestly need a kick in the butt/caffeine in my system somedays. :)
