I'm gearing up for another week of VBS at my church and I'm excited to see a class full of energetic, slightly sweaty, silly kids and feed them snacks (that's my station this year). Let's just hope I have enough energy to get through the entire week!
Well, this is cool.
DIY yard games for your next party.
Such a cute studio apartment!
This sounds sooo refreshing.
How we've lost sight in blogging and 3 ways to fix it. AMEN. AMEN. AMEN.
On being brave and messy.
These hand-painted dishes are so pretty!
Such an interesting post about body image, curves, and beauty.
Have a great one!
I liked that post about how we've lost sight in blogging. I have really cut down on my blog reader these days, and I'd say 97% of the blogs I read are true lifestyle bloggers who just share stuff about their lives. Not that there's anything wrong with choosing a different focus, but that's not what I care to read about on a daily basis, so I just don't follow those blogs!
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your bits and pieces post!!
ReplyDeleteLove the studio apartment, mine is small without any bit of charm :-/
Going to attempt the hand-painted dishes!!
Have a great weekend!
Agreed! After taking that short blogging break, I realized that I not only need to cut down on my own blogging, but on the blogs I read, too. I'm just not as interested in the non-lifestyle blogs/posts anymore--nor do I have the time to read all of them! Like you said, there's nothing wrong with that kind of blogging, it's just not what I'm looking for right now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, friend! I love sharing the things I find on the internet and it's cool to see who else shares my style/interests. :) Have a great weekend, too!
ReplyDeleteyay! you're back!
ReplyDeleteYep! I took a week off and it was the best week I could ever take for myself and my blog--it was one of those distance makes the heart grow fonder moments (because I looove blogging!). :) So glad to be back!
ReplyDeleteFun! And you know I loved the blogging link...very wise words! The dishes are too cute as well, though it'd take me forever to figure out what I wanted on them and generally, I find I'm too hypercritical for permanent projects like that. :)
ReplyDeleteI think there's always something so exciting about VBS week whether you're a child or an adult (other than the fact that it means it's summertime!)
ReplyDeleteI would agree with you 100%! I'm actually really excited to meet and have fun with this year's group of kiddos. :)
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm the SAME way with DIY projects like that! I'm super indecisive as is, so add on some sort of permanent project? I can never decide! I couldn't have worded that better. :)
