I also sort of declared July my creative month. I've decided I'll dedicate it to some creative projects I've always wanted to get done and I've also allowed myself time to just get stuff done--but in a more relaxed style. I'm not pushing myself to get everything done, but rather, just pushing myself to be creative. I even pulled out the old viola last week and am hoping to pull out the watercolors this week.
What have you been up to this month? Did you have a good 4th of July weekend?
Orchards are always so pretty! The greenery and the repetition of the trees, so cool.
ReplyDeleteI agree! The lines and repetition get me every time. This orchard was actually close to the farm where we picked raspberries so I had to hop out of the car to get a quick shot!
DeleteThose orchard pictures are so pretty! I haven't been in an orchard in a few years...I forgot how peaceful they can be!
ReplyDeleteWhat recipe were you trying out with those raspberries?
Thanks! They really are peaceful! I've always been a fan of the lines and the colors and the repetition of it all. And I've always wanted to do a photoshoot in one, too. :)
DeleteAnd it was a raspberry coconut ice cream recipe! To be honest, I was a little disappointed in it. Even though I added more raspberries than called for, the flavor just wasn't there. Which is a little sad considering how much I adore raspberry and coconut!
Loving the violin picture! You know I've always wanted to play!! I have never ever in my life found a 4 leaf clover and I've always wanted to... last summer Zack actually bought me a necklace with a 4 leaf clover in it, it is so special!
ReplyDeleteIt's been nearly a year since I pulled out the old viola, but it was much-needed for me. It actually reminded me how much I like to play (it's just the music I didn't always enjoy, haha). :) And it's weird because we have some cover patches in parts of our yards that are full of 'em. You'll have to come visit and find some!
DeleteThis mashup of daily photos is fantastic! I love this whole concept of simple daily photos :] Intentionally making July creative month is bound to help churn those brilliant brain cells and creative juices. I used to play violin and would love to force myself to pick it back up again. Such a lovely little flashback.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annie! I love taking photos and doing this challenge of taking photos everyday--even if they're nothing special has been a lot of fun so far. And that's so cool that you used to play violin! I played viola from elementary-high school and forcing myself to pick it up every now and then has been a lot of fun. Much more fun than practicing for lessons/orchestra, in my opinion!
Deleteyou should do another video of you playing ;)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, that would be embarrassing. :) I'll need to make sure I'm actually in-tune, haha.
