homemade caramel corn for the win.
getting the fireplace mantel ready for Christmas.
rising rolls for leftover turkey sandwiches.
smoked gouda + roasted vegetable + artichoke pizza. one word: yummm.
It's not too late to post some photos from my Thanksgiving weekend, right? I was blessed to get an extra long weekend to sleep in, spend time with family, decorate for Christmas (eep, so excited!!), eat loooots of good food (including leftovers), and work on some jigsaw puzzles. It was a lovely Thanksgiving indeed.
And I also learned that my grandpa (one of the funniest guys I know) wants to ride a biplane with a stunt pilot. He's a daredevil, I tell ya. And if I had only had my camera out to catch my grandma's reaction upon hearing that...
This is making me hungry all over again! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's the downside of blogging, right? It has a bad tendency to making me hungry (one of the reasons why I have to limit my Pinterest and food-blog reading! :)
DeleteUgh, I miss all those American holidays... especially after seeing your beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh, girl! I keep forgetting you don't have Thanksgiving over on your side of the world. You should celebrate anyway--even if it is just for the sake of eating and blogging! :)
DeleteThe Caramel corn..looks so good! Is it hard to make?
ReplyDeleteNo, not at all! Although, it was much easier doing it with my sister. We made the popcorn first, then we made the caramel and then poured it over and mixed it all in. I do have to say, that extra pair of hands was so nice to have because it made the mixing a lot easier (we were trying to do it before the caramel hardened and got all clumpy). Let's just say it's definitely worth it in the end!! :)
DeleteOh okay. well then I may have to try that sometime :)
DeleteI always love your photos of daily details and the simple things. It's definitely a weak point of mine.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks Laura! I think it all has to do with participating in Ten on Ten as well as not having cute kiddos like you to document all the time. :)
Deleteseriously - that pizza - I am currently DROOLING.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures, you're able to capture daily moments so beautifully.
i'm with laura - it's a weak point of mine as well!
Seriously, it is THE best. My family and I tried it at our favorite local pizza place on a whim and are so grateful we did. When you come visit, that's the first place we're going to go, okay? :)
DeleteAnd thanks Amy! I honestly think it has all to do with doing Ten on Ten for so long. It's really helped me a lot. :) But if you ask me, it's not a weak point of yours--especially after seeing your post on Christina's blog!
beautiful photos, I love the autumn-y colors...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Katie! The autmn-y colors of it all are some of my favorite parts about it. Now that we've moved into the wintry stage of weather in the PNW, it makes me wish the autumnal colors and such now! :)
Deletesounds like an awesome weekend! great pictures! :)
ReplyDeletefound you at Susannah's blog & following you now :)
Hi Robyn! It was an awesome weekend and thank you so much for the compliments on my photography! I'm excited to meet you and am glad you commented, too. :)
DeleteI looove Susannah and her blog and I know for a fact that any reader of hers is also pretty great, too. :)
Love love all the photos! Everything looks so warm and cozy! I posted about Thanksgiving today too!
ReplyDeleteGreat minds think alike!
Great minds definitely think alike. :) And that's the exact feeling I was trying to convey through my photos. The coziness of the holiday season is the best. :)
DeleteSuch beautiful, festive pictures! I love caramel corn... I'm going to have to make some this Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a lovely weekend.
xoxo
I highly recommend making caramel corn for Christmas! I know for a fact that your recipients will be super lucky! :)
DeleteGreat photos! And that pizza looks yummy!! We have our Christmas tree up already. This is the earliest we have put it up before, but I'm so glad! Now we can enjoy it for longer. I love sitting on the couch with a pretty tree in the corner. :)
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you very much. :) That pizza was soooooo good it's not even funny. When you come visit (maybe you and Amy should just make a trip to come see me together!?) we're going there together, okay?
DeleteAnd my family got the Christmas tree without me this year (since I was sick) but ours is up now and I'm hoping we get a chance to decorate it later today so I can take tons of photos of it (including bokeh ones!!). :)
