Fortunately, all of these little spots come off with the magic of stain remover. A little dab of stain remover and POOF! It's gone after a quick wash in the washing machine. I'd like to say I'm keeping the stain remover companies in business. I mean, someone has to, right?
But that's not exactly the entire point of this post. All of this stain removing got to me on Sunday during church. During worship, we started singing a song about having our sins washed away. How God takes our sins, our failures, our worries, and our pain and washes them away. Just like stain remover. Except way cooler, if you ask me. I may be amazed at how white my whites get, but it's an even crazier idea to me that God would take my sins away. That He would forget about all that we've done to hurt Him. And that He sent His one and only Son to come and die for my sins. And then, I can't even imagine all the pain that Jesus endured so I could live my crazy, blessed life.
God washes our sins away, amen?
I'll take that as an amen.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
I have absolutely given up on wearing white to school. Something always finds its way onto my clothes. I try to be fashionable, but save the white for weekends.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty much the same! I wear an occasional white tee sometimes to work (layered under a cardigan or something) but every time I wear it I'm guaranteed to get paint or food or something on it. But then again, that pretty much happens everyday--just another perk of being a preschool teacher! :)
DeleteI think one of the great things about the Gospel is that you can re-tell it to yourself or hear it again from someone else and be floored all over again. The part that got me this time what when you said "he forgets." This is a part I seem to forget. It is literally like it never happened. That. Is. Awesome. And something my little human mind can't wrap around.
ReplyDeleteAmen to that! I so know and love that, too! It's amazing how we not only learn new things each time we open up the Word but that we can re-learn new things, too. :) And girl, God leaves me amazed by how amazing (for lack of a better word) He is!
DeleteThis is beautiful, girl!!! I'll give you a hearty AMEN! :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you agree! And I'll take that hearty amen--those are always good to hear. :)
DeleteSo true!
ReplyDeleteGod definitely takes our messy self's and washes it clean with his love and grace.
YES. You said it, girl! :)
DeleteAmennnnnnnn! I love the visual!
ReplyDeleteThanks, girl! Isn't it funny how God uses things like stain remover to teach a lesson? :)
DeleteAmen indeed!
ReplyDeleteYes! Glad you agree. :)
