BBQ grill + old Peeps from Easter = so much fun.

My mom heard about this from a friend and so we had to try them out.

All you need is a box of Peeps (stale ones work just as well as the fresh guys!).

And some skewers.

Now all you have to do is hold the skewer over some warm coals. I waited until mine was golden and gooey (or until the firmness of the marshmallow disappears).

And boy, are they yummy. The sugar melts and caramelizes, leaving a thin sweet shell covering the ooey-gooey-ness of the marshmallow inside.

The only sad thing is that the little eyes (that are supposedly made of wax?) melted off. So my recommendation? Don't get too attached to your little guy.
